Salt Mixing in Large Tanks

I am thinking of upgrading to a 75 gallon tank from my 37 gallon.
I currently have a 20 gallon rubber tub that I mix my salt water in 24 hrs prior to my weekly water change.

Is their a secret to mixing 35-40 gallons of salt water, for my weekly 50% water change?
Do you use a huge trash can? Or maybe an empty spare fish tank for salt mixing only?

Also, if you know of any shortcut to quickly transfer that much water, other then 1 gallon pitcher method I am currently using?

I know of people that use the food grade big trash cans that you can put the weel base on with a little submersable pump. My buddy does it that way he lets the pump sit and run while mixing and he has a tube he puts on it when he wants to pump water into his tank. I dont remember where he got the trash can from i can ask him later on today and find out. But i think normally the food grade ones are white.

Great idea. I have a spare mag drive 7 pump from my wet/dry that I don't use. I will use it. I would of never thought of it.

You could even use it to pump water outta the tank too...Sometimes i do this but i prefer the conventional hose to get nastys out

NP my buddy said he got his at sams club for like 15 bucks a peice and the weely thing at homedepot. Not sure how long ago it was maybe a couple years ago.

I have a 33g Brute garbage can in my basement with an Iwaki pump plumbed into it. I can use it to mix the water inside or with the flip of a valve, it will pump all the SW up into my fish room on the 1st floor about 100' away.

I had back pain all the time before I started using pumps to change water. No pain at all now - I was lucky not to do serious damage.
