My child Manda

Post by JoseDepacos »

This is my baby Manda. Short for Demanda. When she wants attention, she demands it. She is a 2 1/2 year old pure bred Manx. She follows me nearly everywhere I go like a pup. Even if she isnt quick enough to make it into the bathroom when I close the door, she is waiting when I come out. Lol. I love her like no pet I've ever had and I care more for her than most people I know. :P She is polydactyl, meaning she has six toes (and claws) on her front feet. They look like catchers mitts. She has extra long back legs and moves them at the same time hopping like a bunny. Thats how the breed got the nick name cabbit. She is completely tailless, not even a stub.

she's gorgeous. A long time ago one of my housemates had a manx cat that got out one day and got preggers (he'd stupidly thought she was too young to get pregnant at one year old)... one of the 4 kittens had a tail and the other three didn't. it was hilarious watching the manx kittens learning to walk as their hind legs are so muscely that when one would twitch it'd send the kitten into a sumersault.

Adorable little beasties :-D

In the other pics you cant see her back, which has some pretty unique stripes. A lot like an ocelot.

I think she is very large for a female. She has developed quite a belly too. Lol. I have her down to 1/4 can of wet food a day. I never gave her canned food till I had to move. I share this house and they started giving her canned food every damn day. Now that person is gone and I take care of feeding and litter control. So her chunky butt is on a diet.

No, I know. Not offended in the least. She is fat as well as being a large female besides.
