Ok. so i will go buy ghost shrimp. how do i feed those. also how many snails do i need for puffers. is three puffers good for 10 gallons? im sorry i ask so much but i am really dedicated and i have no knowledge.

3 dwarf puffers would be great in a 10 gallon tank. Frozen bloodworms (thawed in a bit of tank water - I use a shot glass) are readily taken by dwarfs, but feed them just a few at a time (I used a spoon to pull out 3-4 and let the puffs eat those). Also see if the LFS has plants, if so, look for those small snails they have that they'll likely consider a nuicanse - dwarf puffers love those! If you can get common ramshorn or pond snails and a 2.5 gallon plastic tank (one of those critter keepers) - you can keep some snails in there, feed them algae wafers, and they may well breed for you and create more food.

If you get some large snails you dont have to worry about the breeding the snails. As long as you have drift wood and java moss on there the snails will breed amongst that where the puffs usually wont go.

Generally, DPs are too small to eat ghost shrimp.

Thats in the sense of them eating the body and or tail. Dwarfs usually snack on the legs or arms of the shrimp.

IME, many DPs will allow shrimp to live indefinitely. I have kept even red-nose red-tailed with my DPs witout problems.

Others may eat them as well as they can. Individual differences between puffers again.

Live California blackworms are also good DP food.

I wanted to feed mine live daphnia but no where sold it. Is there a way to culture it?

Are they worth the effort, though? I thought that daphnia were best for fry, as they're so small.

I have seen some pretty big, maybe a bit larger then the ball in a ballpoint pen.
