News: I'm deploying to Baghdad

Post by Ajepalmer »

Well, it is somewhat good news actually.
My wife told me if I had a deployment we would have enough money for me to setup a 200+g stingray and dog face puffer marine tank. It should be amazing. I don't deploy for a couple months. I'm sort of excited, felt like sharing :)

I really think you should save that $$$ & wait to set something up until after you get back. Unless your wife is really into taking care of it. Maybe she won't miss you so much.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

I dont know if you got the other quote from my tank post. I have decided to wait on the fish as everyone is asking and just set up the tank and let it practically cycle for like a year with live rock and cleaner crew and my wife can regulate it while I'm gone. She might slip in a some cute fish she finds cheap at a LFS while I'm gone, but she has google and she always asks the LFS a million questions.

Yeah, I am trying not to really merge them or anything. This was more about me just deploying and the other post was supposed to be about my tank. I'm ridiculous

Well at least you're looking forward to being deployed!
Take care, and thank you! :)

Best of luck overseas. The new tank will be nice to come home to. What branch and unit are you deploying with and what MOS are you deploying as?

Yup, always gotta be careful on that jazz. I'm not sure yet which area in/around baghdad I am going to. They are still getting the package ready. If I get any questions about Taji I'll definately hit you up. Thank You. Glad you returned safe as well
