Cooked shrimp has little to no nutrients left in it for the fish.

For the raw stuff, buy it frozen or fresh, freeze it to kill any "nasties", then when you feed it thaw a bit out in a cup of tank water and feed once it is thawed. Do not let it sit around at room temp or rot in the tank.. and of course, wash your hands after messing with any raw meat!

Cooked food to your puffers takes away the usable nutrients by denaturing them. Basically it converts proteins, vitamins, and the basic building blocks for cells in to an unusable difficult to digest form.

Only time I do that is when we have shrimp cocktail & I keep all the leftover tails for them.

If you take cooking as a form of decontamination, I advise freezing in it's place. If you need veggies(like for snails, or other water pets)... feed as you can...

but with shelled foods and supermarket supplements, use several freeze-thaw cycles, which will also make the leaves settle to the bottom while providing foods for the snails presenting actively.
No matter how magnificent your successes or devastating your failures, the worlds' approximately 5 billion impoverished people could not possibly care less.
