IP treatment for a gsp?

Post by lesleyanndunn »

I have wormer plus to worm my gsp
hes about 2 inches, eats like a horse. and has normal poos. No sign of stringy or white poo

but after hes eaten, and his belly has gone down, I think he looks a little gaunt? near the back end
and I think hes begging more than usual, like hes more hungry?

I was feeding every other day, but now started every day again as I didnt want him thin :?
usual diet is snails, cockle in shell, prawns, mussels, bloodworms, all get soaked in vitamins as well

Should I treat him as a precaution?
Best way to dose? add to water or to food?

theres 3 bbgs in with him as well

I feed my GSPs every day, all are 3in or less..if they were bigger..I would do a little less..

You could switch to doing 2 small meals as opposed to one large meal a day..

This stuff has been shown to be pretty effective added to the water, but if he's eating well, soak his food too. I never just soak food because I find puffers tend to spit it out, while they don't taste the meds if it's also in the water and eat it. If they swallow water while wolfing down the food (depends on the puffer) it's more meds in that way also.
No matter how magnificent your successes or devastating your failures, the worlds' approximately 5 billion impoverished people could not possibly care less.

thanks for the info!

i think he likes food everyday, i do plenty of wc so params are excellent

i think maybe hes going thru a small growth spurt, and that explains the slightly gaunt appearance?! maybe im waffling lol

i will treat the tank anyway, at least i know that its been done..
