Re: What happened to you today :)
I'm glad I never got the chance to read it! lmao.
Well.. today I wore some brand new white jeans, then watched that "dear john" romantic film and cried for the whole 108 minutes.. because I'm a wimp & because I cried so long I got my first EVER nose bleed.. all over the white pants!
How typical is that?! Now I dunno what to do.

Yes it is. At least they use good anesthesia (the amnesia stuff). I don't remember a thing and that's just how I like it!J-P wrote:is that where they stick the camera down your throat? I had one of those ... not pleasant to say the least!

For the blood stains? Good old cheap drugstore hydrogen peroxide. Just pour it all over the stains and let it lift them out. Then wash.Tigerlilly wrote:I'm glad I never got the chance to read it! lmao.

in answer to your question, yes. she is an alcoholic, is suicidal, and has been professionally diagnosed as bipolar. she doesnt take the meds for it because she knows that if left to her own devices, she will take the whole bottle one day... its kind of a catch 22: take the meds that make you feel normal and risk getting down one day and taking the whole bottle or dont have the meds and feel not so good more often, but the pills arent there being a temptation... hard to sayJ-P wrote:I know Kilo was talking about alcohol... didn't see anything about being bipolar.
I had a friend a LONG time ago who was bipolar and her mom wouldn't let her date anyone because of the condition.
shes still speaking more positively than she has been in a while. i see my prayers beginning to work! im not a super bible thumper, but i was raised in a religious home, so those roots are still there. i believe its not just me helpin her.

Re: What happened to you today :)
I'm back from a very busy day. I went and got myself two 3-foot fish tanks for only £35 and they had some accessories too, so I was very happy with that.
I also rescued yet another puffer. This time it was a most horrible sight I've seen, a GSP with a spine that's literally bent so that it sort of looks like an "S" when you look at it from above and it reminds me of a Q-Tip because it's got a big head and next to no body at all. Really a sad sight. I said something to the guy and all he said was, "I know, I know", but he let me have it for half price. There was another one in there, and it was fairly thin as well, but not looking nearly as awful as the one I got. I would have taken both of them if I had extra money, but at least I can help one of them. When I got it home, I fed it an earthworm and you'd have thought it hadn't seen food for the longest time, and I am beginning to wonder if maybe it actually hasn't, or at least regular food, not like flake. So I hope that I can bring him back to being healthy again.
I also bought 2 dwarf puffers while I was there, as they were the last 2 and I thought I'd get them out of that nasty tank they were in.

i fed my burma a piece of my thumb, tho it wasn't on the menu he opted to take it anyways, just enough of the flesh so it stings when i close my hand lol,
Re: What happened to you today :)
Sold our old light bar, put the new one on, checked out an awesome store in TO, bought 4 irrubescos, a betta, and downoi
Also did a water change, made new lids for the tank, and did some planting.
Did I mention that we found 4 irrubescos?
They're adorable and appear to be pretty healthy. On the trip home they bit through 2 bags and the males chewed each other up a bit. One's quite a bit worse so I put Melafix in the tank in hopes to help prevent any infections. They're so cute.
ETA: That was very kind of you DS, I'm sure it appreciated the fresh meal

It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

No kidding! They even ate the first night home, after about an hour in the tank, AND the food was treated with parasite medication. They've got some recovering to do and need groceries but we have high hopes for them
