called police yesterday and had my suicidal bipolar alcoholic best friend taken to the ER in hopes that she will get herself back on the right track... got no sleep, almost fell asleep at the wheel about 10 times while driving to work today, couldnt focous on anything at work. super sleepy now and extremely worried about her.

in my defense, we have been friends 17 years, and no her distructive ways have not rubbed off... shes actually the reason i wont touch alchol... how many other 22 year olds do u know that can say they havent touched alchol since their 21st b day lol... anyway, as i was saying, i just want to help her, thats why i stick around... ive been working on getting her some help set up since her family has virtually given up on her and completely turned their backs... im all shes got and i want to help her all i can... but im tired and stressed now... off to bed for me!

That must have been a hard decision but hopefully some day she'll be healthy enough to thank you for it...

A friend and I went to the Marine Aquarium Society of Toronto auction. We drove an hour to get there and the items for sale at the start time were soooo weak we *almost* left in order to hit a nearby store that we don't often get to before closing. But we decided to stick it out. Then sellers started showing up late with piles of stuff and I ended up getting 7 gorgeous, huge, healthy corals for $128 total. (They would probably have been $500-$600 in the stores, at least around here!) AND I got some bonus mini brittle stars, a hitchhiker that I always wanted but never got before! :-) :-) :-)

Gotta love hitchhikers!
Today I went shopping, bought a huge red sparkly bag, a sequin leopard print bag, some velour tracksuits (only for around the house!!), some sunglasses, jewellery, jeans, belts, underwear & a caramel latte from starbucks (with cream yumm.)
Spent quite a bit, but ah well.

I walked halfway across a school because a user was too stupid to realise that they werent pressing a power button hard enough to turn a computer on and was unwilling to do it herself. (Sigh)

Good for you Kilofey! My coach just went through that minus the alcohol. It really broke her up, a very hard decision but the right one :)

Earlier in this thread you said you were hungover. If you haven't touched alcohol then what were you hungover on?

Opened my box from Foster & Smith to find my gorgeous new artificial mangrove roots for my tank and the sand-shelf.
Once I get them installed I'll post pics.

Going back to LFS today to give him my Top 3 List of wanted puffers :D

Nice list. :grats:

Those are all lovely puffers. The Cutcutia is very pretty, but I would not waste a big tank on that one because mine stays in the same spot day after day. In fact, when I had him in a smaller tank I seen him more often and now that he's in a bigger tank, I rarely if ever see him. They definitely will not tolerate any other puffers or other fish.

Ceylons are also very nice, I love mine to bits! And of course, I will always have a soft spot for irrubesco, I think they are both pretty and interesting puffers to have.

I've just given my new large Figure-8 puffer a name. I'm calling her "Octopuff" !!! :D

Aquarium Society auctions are the best, if you are looking for live stock or just equipment it is probably one of the best places to go.. we need to have more of them!! There's only one a year out here in BC.

Today just working, then going home to watch the first playoff game for the Canucks!!
Woohoo Go Cancuks Go!! :D
