New Puffer Acquired, I'm Thinking Abei?
Well I got a new puffer today, traded that little Fahaka for this one. It was traded to me as a Fang's puffer, but looking at it closely, I think I've just gotten myself another Abei puffer (I already have one).
Here's some photos (best I could get tonight) of the new guy, and hopefully we can get an ID on him, although I suspect the consensus is going to be an Abei. And while I was there, I could not resist this Figure-8 puffer, these were some of the biggest I've ever seen. I hope you can tell how big it is from the photo, as I am not the best photographer

I hate to say it but it looks more Abei than Fangs from the shots.
Is that an Mbu in the same tank as the F8 in the shop, now theres a sense of scale.

Yeah, I know this is an Abei too .... dang! And I thought I might have finally hit the jackpot. Oh well.
Anyone in the market for an Abei?
Thanks Lisa ... but wrong one again.
Hilly -- that's my Mbu in my tank at home. I'm not sure where I'm going to keep the F-8, but that's where I put him when I got home because I had to shuffle puffers around and I knew he'd be safe in there.

Skipping the quarantine? I hope it's a very, VERY trustworthy shop... And even if I trusted a shop with my life, I'd still quarantine.
"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

Risky yes but it's her risk to take. I skipped QT with my most recent acquisitions. I wasn't about to QT 17 fish in a 10L bucket when I had a 50gal with 4 fish in it. Bad me

It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

Re: New Puffer Acquired, I'm Thinking Abei?
I'd be more than happy to let you have the Abei Lisa, because I do not need two. I only just sold the other one I had a couple of months back ... so sorry to say but I won't be keeping this little guy. He's cute and all, but I just don't need two Abei puffers.
I had a feeling that that's what I was going to end up with!

My husband wasn't too happy about the idea of me moving to Canada .... so looks like I'm staying in the UK!

I know you did, and it was very much appreciated - It's nice to be wanted (even if it is for my puffers)!
Besides, seems like I'm better off here in the UK because there seems to be a good supply of puffers that comes through this country.
