Did you try that antibiotic on his eye before trying the vet?
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

was that to me pp? if it was, yes, i did try for a day or so, but i wanted to get a professional opinion... the vet told me to keep using the ointment just as a topical treatment for the swelling, but i also got an oral antibiotic med. try convincing a lizard to open its mouth so you can put some icky stuff in it lol, not an easy task, but credit cards work wonders when trying to get their mouths open! lol. his eye seems to be getting better. the swelling of the actual eye ball seems to be improving, but he still has some liquid goop stuff behind his eye that needs to be drained out. hope he improves :smitten:

What Hannah said.

Just how the hell can the postal service leave an overnight delivery on a truck for _29_HOURS_. It was going to be tough enough for them to ride it out for 20-26 hours at their size, no matter how I packed them.

i flooded my apartment today  oh the joys of keeping poofers. good thing i have a wet/dry vac to suck it up... hope it didnt do any damage to the apartment below EEEPPP!

so there i was, filling the tank, i turn my back for a few seconds and all the sudden i hear the sound of pouring water... i turned around to see my tank overflowing... i took the hose out of the tank (with the faucet still on mind u) so i plugged the end of the hose with my finger and the pressure made the other end pop off the faucet... so i ended up flooding my kitchen AND my living room cause water came out the tank and the other end of the hose. i ran around in circles like a chicken with my head cut off water going everywhere, even on the ceiling and cabinets! i quickly siphoned some of the water out of the tank until it was at a manageable level. then i sucked up the water in the living room and the kitchen... talk about 5 minutes of chaos! and now all is calm. *sigh*

The maid is here today. ugh. Hopefully for the last time though. :/
My boyfriend pretty much needed her before I moved in, but now that I'm here there's no point and it's just spending money on something unnecessary. +I'm fairly certain she hates me..

After 3 days of not doing any water changes and concentrating on moving puffers & fish to different tanks, it was back to the grind. I'm still getting used to different puffers being in different tanks after the big move on Friday ... but I'm very happy with myself that I was able to get my puffers in bigger tanks. Although now that Obie (Fahaka) is in a bigger tank, I don't see him much. He likes hiding behind the big piece of bogwood with plants around it. He does come out when food hits the water. But I was so used to putting certain foods in certain tanks, that it was almost automatic, so now I've got to really think about what food I'm putting in what tank since I moved fish & puffers around.

I'm feeling rather excited because I may have found a Fang's puffer. Might be taking a day trip up to North Yorkshire on Wednesday to see if it's actually a Fang's or not. So finger's crossed!
