Had to go to the ER yesterday for an asthma attack and came home and my Gemstone was lying in a puddle on the floor dead.
I guess the person painting my living room broke Gemstone's Home.
I call his boss and they are going to reimburse me for the damage. They want to replace my puffer but I said no. I just do not feel up to raising another puffer.
I am so sorry for your loss. We feel like we knew Gemstone by your postings. I can understand an accidental aquarium breaking, but I don't understand how anyone can walk away from a fish on the floor.
I hope you are physically feeling better - there's nothing like an epinephrine shot! (Been there, done that...)
Oh wow, that must be really hard. I can understand the aquarium breaking, accidents are accidents but if that was me(whether I had fish or not)I'd be trying to save as many as I could for the person.

I have already gotten a replacement for it. I had a salt tank ready to go and I went to pick up my Pearl Gourami that I ordered and seen this awesome Saddle back Puffer and purchased it. I wasn't quite ready for another puffer but I seen this one and my eyes could not just let it pass.
I had to make a 911 stop at another lfs so I could have it put in a new bag since it broke.
I have my new puffer posted in the Marine section since it is a saltwater puffer.

Didn't the person doing the painting call you on your mobile? God, I would've grabbed a pan - or anything.
