Will BBG's be ok in marine?

I'm thinking of getting a molly and bubble bee goby as tankmates for my GSP (now 3" long.)

He's going in a 40 gal breeder in the next month and plan to go full marine eventually.

Will his tankmates survive full marine (especially the BBG?)





PS: I know they are a risk to get eaten, if that happens...well so be it.

Mollies can tolerate full SW if acclimated properly but if im not mistaken BBG's are a low end brackish fish same tolerence as a figure-8. Also BBG's can have the same tendency as a GSP when it comes to attitude. If you have a docile GSP keeping mollies as tank mates will be a craps shoot I had one with mine though b4 he died although he never reached over 4 inches.

I had a group of mollies that i acclimated from fresh to marine in a couple of hours using the drip method. Weeks later they bred and spawned and i had tons of little molly babies later .

But to answer your question, as it already was, the answer is no. An alternative is wrasse. Six-lines are filled with personality.

I have seen that they seem to start doing poorly at about halfway to marine.

Depends on the species maybe? Mine were golden sailfin. I believe sailfin's are more accustomed to marine then most other molly species.

I actually meant BBGs. Mollies seem to do at least as well in marine as FW.

Hold out for marine. I got 2 maroon clowns with my two gsp. Plus two blue damsels and a small yellow tang. I have seen zero agrression so far. Except when I introduced new tank mates. I even got some SW snails and hermits and none have been eaten. Even added some soft corals and the GSP leave them alone too. But that don't mean it'll be 100% safe. It's always a risk with puffers. Even got two feather dusters and they are afraid of them lol.
