Today was more water changes, as will be tomorrow. My Congo Orangey seems to have a bit of fungus on him, so I've been using Pimafix. Poor Orangey, seems he is just not doing well, however, I put more shrimp into his tank today and he immediately sparked up and was watching them, even tried to get one, but the shrimp was too quick. I then decided to put some bigger guppies into his tank, and that also seemed to perk him up. I normally feed my piscivores small fish, so they are eaten all at once, as I don't want the fish to suffer (don't like the thought of the puffer taking a bite and leaving part of a fish swimming around). I had a guppy that for the past couple of days, has been having problems swimming. I don't know if it was a swim bladder issue or what, but I am sure he was destined to die, as he just didn't look very well. So I decided to put him in with Orangey and Orangey really looked interested. I sat down across the room to watch, and then my dogs needed to go out. Wouldn't you know when I came back in Orangey had already eaten the ailing guppy! But it was nice to see Orangey's tummy looking a bit fuller than it has been. So I'm hoping that if I put some bigger fish in there with him that maybe he will eat them and gain some weight. I am seriously concerned about him because he's so thin and is so picky about eating. And now with the fungus, I'm even more worried. So I hope that he will get a little more energy and that his immune system will kick in and that he will get better. He's such a pretty puffer, that orange is almost a red colour it's that deep. So fingers crossed that Orangey gets better and eats more guppies! :thumb:

Oh Lisa, I hope that your pupper is okay, that would be awful, but you are doing the right thing by taking him to the vet. I can't believe that all those puppies died, how horrible! :(

Aww I hope the puppy is ok too :( I'm sure he will be! and if there was an internal parasite I'm sure by taking them to the vet and getting medication it can be sorted easily anyway..
I have to take our kitten back to the vet tomorrow, she's now got a huge lump under her stitches.. not hurting her or red or anything but we're just going to check it out.
My male kitten had to be cut open when he was being neutered because he was cryptorchid ( I think that's how it's said ) it was a bigger cut than the female and he had a small bump and was fine so I'm sure it's just swollen or something.

OMG, good luck! Poor pup!

Today was amazing - perfectly warm and breezy - so after dinner, my roommate and I went on a walk down to the spring by campus and picked flowers and stuck them in each other's hair. :D

Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

Way to rub it in our faces! We have had nothing but cold, foggy miserable weather here in NL for the past week.

Haha, yep, as soon as I upload them!!! We were thinking more along the lines of flower fairies/elvish maidens, actually, but I'm a total hippie. I actually put a dandelion in my hair earlier today and wore it to class...

Puffer people's roomeys have the BEST deal, they get to enjoy the poofers without having to do the upkeep!

Today I drove my fiance up to the Berkshires for a week of relaxing, bed and breakfast food, and catching up on her sociology and philosophy reading.(yay for her tax return) I got to spend the day, but I'm back at the apartment caring for puffers and guinea piggies and the sea-monkeys, and got to spend MY tax return taking a tiny chip off the mountain that is my credit card debt.
No matter how magnificent your successes or devastating your failures, the worlds' approximately 5 billion impoverished people could not possibly care less.
