But if they grow about an inch a month... Lets say that's generous and they grow 10" in the first year. You're already part way into the first year... He won't be able to reach 10+" in a 50/55gal.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

Well I guess I will have to keep an eye on him, if he gets to big, I might have to upgrade sooner, If I have to I will, I just need some time, I am trying very hard to get some of my books published, its taking alot of my time, energy and money, So I have a limited budget. No worries, I will do whatever I need to, to keep Samson heathly, he is my little buddy :) :)

What kind of books do you write?

I did tonight, I used some water from the Oscar tank, i was waiting for her to do a WC, I added a bucket full from her tank to help with the bacs :)
hes settled in for the night under his root, hes been lookin around his tank all day :)

I wouldn't have done that. There is little to no live biological bacteria in the water column.

Hey All,

I snapped a few pics of samson today, he is getting so big, I'd say hes 6 inchs at least, and fat as a cow too LOL! I might have a line on a 90 Gal tank, guy
is giving it away, it needs resealing, Hope I can get it, would make a nice upgrade for samson.

Anyways, heres a few pics :)

Sup all?,

I noticed samson was buried tonight, the deepest I've seen him, so i took a few pics and a small 10 sec vid, i am gonna add some more sand tonight, see if he will completely buried himself, so cool to see him maturing and getting so big :)

He just started in the last month or so, funny how some do it right away, and some not till later?. I am gonna give me a nice new bed of sand with no gravel in it, see if that makes a diff?
