opossums do not carry rabies...they can't, their body temp is not high enough for rabies to take hold...so do not worry about that..
everyone thinks they carry rabies...because these creatures seem so nasty and they sometimes appear to have rabies with how bad they smell and lots of saliva...but all of that are just defenses...
think about it...when ever you hear about rabies it is always in raccoons...aren't there just as many raccoons as there is opossums?

Kalvin is such a cute little one!
We are lucky around here. There's no rabies in Norway at all. But because of it, we have very strickt rules for quarantining new animals when they come from countries where rabies is present.
