fahaka general behaviour?

my fahaka is settling into the new tank.

i just wanted to know just how active/inactive fahakas are?

hes only about 2-3" long, and eats in the early hours of the morning.

do they get more active? less active as they get older and bigger?

just wanted a general idea of their activity level?

Finally a thread I can comment on LOL!

Samson is very active paces the pane closest to me when he wants to be fed, but hes very active at night, likes to take stolls up and down the length of the
tank, he'll come over and say hi every so offen, then scoot away again, i spend alot of time at my PC, and he likes to sit by me, its cool to be able to look over at him and see he eyeing me LOL!

I totally agree with Don on his observations.

Beetroot tries to play coy with us sometimes and hides behind his favorite piece of driftwood. Then he would pounce upon us and do a little tummy jiggle and then level out and look us eye to eye. Pretty much like a little water puppy.

I have been noticing though that he likes to come out more when the lights are out but the ambient room lights are still on. Seem to do most of his hunting at night too even when he was about 2-3". We would throw 20 Malayan shrimps into his tank in the afternoon and still see them around when the lights are on. Next day, nada... no more shrimps.

Enjoy your little Fahaka, these fishes are on of a kind.
