Re: more than one fahaka in a tank
I don't think that's ever worked. Fahakas are extremely aggressive, especially to their own kind.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

Re: more than one fahaka in a tank
Someone managed to breed Fahakas in captivity, he posted on here a few years ago, if I recall his username was dmuratov. Big tanks though in the region of 400 gallons so more than one specimen in a tank is possible but its definitely not advisable.

suspect that two fahakas will result in one dead and one injured

More than likely, 2 dead, as in the story I linked to.

Re: more than one fahaka in a tank
Not sure about two fahakas, but my fahaka ElDiablo and my gsp PudderLubber have gotten along great for about 1&1/2 years now.
Re: more than one fahaka in a tank
How? Fahakas are FW and GSPs are high brackish to marine...

Re: more than one fahaka in a tank
I'm starting to think this fellow, eclipse, is a troll. Here is a comment he made about keeping a fahaka with a pleco:
Here is his 1st post, on Feb 5th:
Yet he kept one with a GSP for a year & a half?I hate to say it, but you will wake up one morning to find the only thing left of your pleco will be in your fahakas stool
Here is his 1st post, on Feb 5th:
Hi all. I got my first puffers almost 2 months ago and just found this sight. I got a gsp, code name Turbo, and a fahaka, code name El Diablo.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Maybe he meant months, not years? Trolls are usually more consistent if they're good at it.
No matter how magnificent your successes or devastating your failures, the worlds' approximately 5 billion impoverished people could not possibly care less.
Re: more than one fahaka in a tank
I'll upload some pics for you then. Don't understand the troll comment when I'm just relaying my personal experience.
Also, gsp's do wonderful in fw.

Re: more than one fahaka in a tank
Really? You kept one for 10+ years in FW & it's still healthy?
