When I was working in the LFS, I always badgered the oscar/dempsy/piranah people to feed pellets for 75% of their diet and earthworms/nightcrawlers for the rest. They fish love them even more than feeders, they're super healthy high grade protein with lots of assorted trace minerals, and you can hand feed! Best live feeders there is.
