Skimmers - Bakpak?

Hey all, I need a new skimmer for Paris's tank. I have the Corallife Needlewheel that's for up to 65 gallons, doesn't help me too much on a 75, doesn't fit over the lip, not to mention can't handle that high of a water volume and that messy of a fish.

Anyways, I set the tank up a little too close to the wall, so don't have a ton of room to squeeze something in. The Bakpak dual would work great, but I'm used to my Corallife with the cup that you dump out.. anyone know how the Bakpak works? How do you dump it, do you have to take the entire thing off?

Or is this one of those skimmers that's a waste of $$? I though I'd heard good reviews on it.

I'm happy with the single one on my 40g. The cup lifts off the top for easy dumping.

Okay, that's good, I couldn't tell from the pictures onlne.

Is it noisy? I really hate noisy stuff, but I need to get a skimmer on her tank. I had initially planned on using the sump, but I don't want to risk having the skimmer closed up in the cabinet where I can't see it ready to overflow brown stinky sludge everywhere!

Not too bad... but I have a noisy de-humidifier in my fish room that drowns everything out--even the TV!

I've heard the octopus HOBs are probably the best HOB skimmer options, but I havn't tired one myself. I need a BIG skimmer... my seaclown useless POC stopped producing skimmate nearly entirely, and I have had it off and cleaned for the duration of hypo. Want to buy something good, but budget, for say, 250, 300 gallons(Ulrike is going to get BIG).

Hmm, I don't want noisy for sure, but I'm not sure anything else will fit on there, I could barely squeeze in the AC500 I'm using for water movement (actually, it didn't fit, and you don't want to see the damage to the paint from the moisture/salt.. *cringe*).

I love my Corallife needlewheel, but its not big enough and I think the really big one won't fit.. what to do...

I thought of that, but the tank has a custom canopy that I really don't want to remove if possible.. this is right in the middle of our living room

I suppose I could though, I need to buy new lighting (getting new bulbs for the Coralife fixture did NOT fix the problem) anyways... and the heavy canopy is a PITA at feeding times...

Any suggestions for a nice, QUIET skimmer that can handle 75=90 gallons and a messy eating puffer?

I hung my lights, so I could fit a skimmer om the side. If you like the CSS, just get a bigger one.

I use a Turboflotor 1000 Multi on my 100 gallon without a problem. I've used it HOB and in the sump and it is nice and quiet in the sump...HOB it was a little noisy but not intolerable, mainly noise from the outflow. I've also heard nothing but good about the BakPak skimmers though.
