K im About to boil them rocks should I add Dechlorinator? So the tap water with chlorine doesnt soak in and bleed out later in the tank. Or you think I should boils it and then soak it in treated water with prime and with or without salt?

Re: Tank staying cloudy??
the the chlorine will disapate in bioled water fairly quickly ...
now... I am by far no expert, but if this is similar to drift wood ... this IS NOT going to be a 1 day event.
Boil, boil again, let dry, or bake, boil treat and QT for a week

K soo.. I've boiled the dead rock now for about 72 hours now and will give another power wash and hopefully that helps. It was really stinky B4 now its a lot less. Ill keep boiling till no more smell. Im thinking it was a combo of the rock and sand. it seems a lil cloudy still after 3-4 days now. The sand I have is super fine(sugar grain size) it was washed repeatedly but when I see the puffs kick it up it doesn't seem to settle right after it kinda goes with the flow of the water. And my HOB is not pushing water so much that it kicking up the sand either. I also had too remove some dark spots in the sand that were also very ranky. I really didn't expect that so quickly. Now its no more than 2" of sand. It was a lil more so I took some out.
