I lost my Fahaka :(

Post by Hilly »

And then I found him after several minutes of searching. :)

Sneaky little sod, none of my other puffers ever buied themselves.
He seems uber aggressive, if he spots another fish in the adjoining tank he goes for them, plenty of baring his teeth at me as well.
Ive also noticed he isnt a fan of the tank light and steers clear of the well lighted areas of the tank so im leaving it off for now, he also seems more active in lower light levels.

Overall he's feeding well and settling in nicely, he took a piece of whitebait tonight and it didnt last long.

Oh man, when I first opened the thread I was prepaird to send you condolences!
I'm glad that it was only hiding :D :D

I've never had a puffer that buries itself either, my baby fahaka puffer Nala, burried herself for the first time the other day :D :D

I was like you Hilly, several weeks back I could not find Obie, and I looked all over and then I spotted him buried and what really worried me is that he did not come up for half the day and I thought he was ill, but he was fine. I'm used to my Congo's burying themselves, but it seems odd for a Fahaka to bury. :)

Oh and Lisa, get used to it, your Congo will be buried most of the time when you get it! :D

You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...
