I'm not so sure it was such a good idea to add a fish so soon after your parameters have stabilized.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Not really a concern with a FOWLR, and overskimming, to my knowledge has always been a hypothetical about skimming out trace elements, some of which could possibly be beneficial to pickier coral.

I would gather that because you have such a big skimmer, and at the moment very low bio load, that what you are seeing is simply the saltwater bubbled out and then drying, not enough waste present to form skimate so you are just getting splatted salt bubbles.

just to update now have 3 triggers, all about 1.5 inch in size
Valentine "the golden heart", Pico "the picasso", and Bruno "the Assasi".
quite the characters they are.
water peramaters havent changed all still pristine, i hooked up my 2nd uv light and i think it made a big difference with water clarity. one thing that irks me tho is when i mix up my new salt i leave it airate(not sure spelling) for days before adding and the skimmer seems to create micro bubbles for bout 24 hrs after adding water. what can i do about this.?

Sadly blue ringed octos are not unheard of in fish stores. There are a few in the San Francisco Bay Area that commonly have one or two available, that was my last trip to those stores...

so here comes the nitrites. 0.20 -0.25 im guessing last batch of live rock i added is causing some mayham, only the goldenheart seems a little stressed as his colors change and he wont come out of his rock unless theres food. water change tonight an will see whats up. also since i started dosing with purple up the fish seem to get pissd off when clouded water is this normal? should i do it after lights out.

Water clouded? Never a good sign. Are you testing for calc/alk/mag? If not I would stop purple up, the fish dont need it, its the calcifying life that could benefit from it if its in the proper amounts. You could be shocking the fish with a sudden change in water chemistry. Get some test kits and see what you need to add to the water first. Two part is probably the easiest, but needs to be done daily and is one of the most expensive. Kalkwasser with two part additions every month is what most people end up doing, cheap and if you have a big enough reservoir its relatively little work. There is something wrong with what ever you are adding if it clouds the tank...

Best time to add most supplements, is right before the lights turn on when the pH is lowest (assuming you are adding a calc/alk/mag type supplement)

You should always cure any larger amounts of LR you buy before adding to your system. Lots of WC now...

Someone who just recommended purple up in another thread said it leaves the tank milky for about an hour when dosing.
