Quick GSP Question

Post by MeggyPuff25 »

I want to get my 45g tank to marine for my 2 gsp's. It's at 1.012sg atm, but i was wondering how can I get it to 1.023'ish for marine? I have the instant ocean that im using in their tank and I have 1lb of live rock getting cured, I know I'll need more, I will be buying some soon I just don't have the funds to get a larger amount atm. any tips would be very welcomed thanks :D

yes you will be able to do it I did it myself, just do it slowly raise the salinity a couple points a week nothing more.

Are you planning on setting up a larger tank in the future. That 45 wont hold them through out there life.

Yes I agree too. 60g minimum. And raise the salt by .002 a week no more or else you risk crashing your bioload. Take your time while gathering the new medias needed. I would suggest 1 gsp in there. Even I have 3 in a 55 and it's not big enuf. So I may just keep one of them so I could add other goodies.

What is your LR curing in? If its brackish water, it could be dying.
