Pros and cons of feeding snails.

Beautiful, complex and discussed here. The marine fish and reef section.

Thanks for the replys so far. If anybody has any other experiences with SW snails, let me know. I don't know if i am willing to setup a FW snail tank for breeding. Maybe it's easier that I imagine.

Probably way easier.
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

Yes, I said that with those water parameters the tank looked cycled, just so you aren't misinformed about water seeding a tank's cycle, that's all.

Hi, everyone.

What's the minimum time that should I quarantine pest snails from PetSmart?

Should I preventatively deworm the snails by putting a small piece of a Jungle Labs Parasite Clear dissolving tab in the QT water?

I believe all those medications will kill the snails. I QT mine for about a month but I truly have no idea. I'm not sure there's a right answer which is why you aren't getting one.

Im not sure the name of the stuff but ive seen lil packets for seeding a SW tank and it contains snails. If you could find it you might be able to breed them in your tank with the puffer.

No way could you breed snails in a puffer tank, they'd eat them all.
