i got a new puffer!

Post by lesleyanndunn »

i got him yesterday, but thought wait until next day before telling anyone to make sure he survives overnight at least :?

hes a 2 inch fahaka, and we drove 9 hours to get him, last time one was in a lfs over in Ireland was 18 months ago

lfs phoned me to say others were taking a keen interest, and i had booked him, but not paid for him yet...

so we drove down, getting lost several times :D

and finally made it...

6 hrs to get there.

but 2 hrs to get home... go figure

hes in a medium cycled tank at the moment, doing 50% water changes a day, and he looks good!

I still cant believe to look at him, thats hes mine!!! :D

Congrats! Do you guys use GPS out there?
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

haha is that like sat nav?

yea we do have it, but the girl that took me down didnt have, and had no sense of direction whatsoever!

Its practically very hard to get lost, but we did all the time!

even though i showed her where to go, she drove on past

and at one time, we were 75miles in the wrong direction.

but worth it in the end!

ive had nothing but weird looks and comments like 'are ya mad!' and 'is it like a goldfish ya got!!!'

what do they know!!!!

Yeah, it's like a satellite navigation system for your car. Comes with a lot of cell phones too.

havent got a name for him/her yet.

the lfs was feeding live mealworms from tongs.

so we were going to get some today to tempt him to eat

looks like hes had a swipe at the snails, but not crunched the shells and eaten the inside

so have to make sure to remove all the shells with dead snail inside

my gsp was soon cracking them open tho to get to the snail!
