No, your FW fish will definitely not appreciate any salt of any kind. Certainly not the amounts needed to even bring the SG up to 1.005, which is close to a cup/5g.

20g would be nicer for the clowns. You night want to get a refractometer but get the calibration solution for it too.

Oh and it wont be much of a cycle am either buying pre cured wet rock or rock from an established aquarium that some one in my area is breaking down. Is what I did with the 10G and it barely had a cycle...hit only .25 for an amonia spike (that I saw) and that was it.

Yeah I was planning on pulling all the fully freshwater fish out ...although they are used to some salt.
Can leave the bumblebee gobies, the dragon/violet goby, the platies and the GSP for the higher SG.

And yes I sooo want an refractometer.

mmmmm....from what I've heard/read I thought the platies did better in brackish water.

Could always put the mollies I have in with Spot...at least they won't steal his blood worms and seafood.

Wow, from hearing all the good things about GSP's in Marine I am soo Happy I bought a sump and overflow on CL today, now I cant wait for it to be all set up and running now. 170$ on CL got a sump overflow, and skimmer I just need a return now woot woot.
How long should it take for the live rock and sand/ bio ball to take over and I can take off my HOB filters? I will be using the DEAD Lace rock I have now and adding LIve Rock to it. Approximatly 35 dead and 25 LIve. Sand was all dead too!
Any advice on some easy frags I could get too? I really want some mushrooms and an Anenome(white with purple tip one) Prolly two regular clown fish(nemos) and Hermits crab or two. Any suggestions Its a 55g tall with 3 GSP now?

Considering adult GSPs require as minimum of 30g ea, I wouldn't consider any tank mates for them in a 55g.

They are still soo small and yes I am on the hunt for a 90g. After reading many posts I really dont think all three will get to 6.5" I may keep one if that is the case thou. I love GSP but i just need some action in there.

Both of mine got that big. 90g still doesn't leave much room for tank mates.

according to my many LFS any other local friend with puffer XP Its supposedly very rare for them to grow to 6.5" in captivity no matter how big the tank. Not that I dont believe you I want mine to get that big. I really want to get something 100 plus gallons but I live in an apartment where I shouldnt even have a tank in and Ive got 3 now. lol, I will always make sure to give my puffs everything I can If they grew 10" overnight Id Buy a new home for them immediatly tomarrow morning. I love the little effers

how long for them to get that big BC in 3 years it will be 100 plus gallons. What other easy to care for small things then, such as a few frags and anenome? hermit crab( i kno he may get eaten but Ive heard of some being to smart for puffs they keep hidin from them haha)

I don't think GSPs mix well usually, with corals.
