24 hours so far so good
So it has been over 24 hours for my fahaka in his new tank and all seems very good, all his color seems crisp and nice, white belly with some slight yellow where it meets his darker flesh, all in all looks good he has eaten a few snails and has done his business, he seems to be very content with everything and loves just cruising around and exploring everything, he know who we are already and comes to the glass right away when he sees us, here is a pic of him this afternoon..... he looks good to me.....should be ok to go, i dont see any issues thus far and do not anticapte any, I will do a 25% partial water change on weds, and then one more on fri, then he will be 50% WC weekly starting monday with the other tanks......

So cute
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

I've heard fahakas have great personalities, even more so than most other puffers.

yes i did, i picked him up on tuesday, Scott who i deal with was great in holding him for me, i get alot of my fish from him, and that is where i ordered my 180g from him too, he does a great job at that store, and i personnally have not lost one fish that i have bought from him, i will be looking at other freshwater puffers as i go, he can get all types of fish.omplmpa3 wrote:By chance did you get your Fahaka at Fish Unlimited in Green Bay?

Re: 24 hours so far so good
I saw your little guy at the store a couple days after they got him in. That is a REALLY nice looking puffer! The best looking puffer that I have ever seen in a fish store by far; well fed, nicely colored and no nipped fins. Really cute! On Friday I was going to bring in some ramshorns for it to much on, but I'm very happy that it has gone to such a good home. I got my F8s from Scott and numerous other fish....and tons of plants. It is a great store, I've never been disappointed with any of my purchases. If you ever need ramshorns, let me know. My puffers are all small and I'm at a loss as to what to do with the hundreds of ramshorns that are far too big for them to eat.

yeah Scott does an awesome job there, i have been so happy with everything i buy from him and his store, I will be getting another tank also from him probably to do my sump in.
so far so good, he is doing awesome, he his eating great his color is great, he lets me pet him on the top of his head and we play chase the finger in the tank, i run my finger across the top of the water and he swims back and forth trying to catch it, quick little guy he is....he loves his current tank and will love his even bigger tank in a few months,
