gsp trying to hunt shrimp!

I wanted to put something in with my gsp to encourage some natural hunting behaviour, instead of getting fed the easy way!

We went to lfs and bought 4 shrimp, label said on glass bumblebee shrimp and tropical shrimp.

He was trying to attack them in the bag when floated in tank during acclimation lol

BUT found out theyre not so easy to get once in the tank!!

Its great watching him stalk around the tank playing 'catch the shrimp'

no success as yet

my partner thinks great to watch, and im completely barmy now lol!

That's so cool! I wish I had access to some inexpensive shrimp to do this with. Douggie used to get ghost shrimp when he was brackish and he'd hunt them for several days before catching them all but now he's in full marine, and the cheapest sw shrimp I can find are $15 each!

I get plain old river or ghost shrimp for my GSPs (10 for £1 at Maidenhead Aquatics). They are in BW at the shop too, which is good.
