Silly SAPs

Post by Flutter »

So, the SAPs have been living with cories for a good three months now and not a single nipped fin.

Last night I put in my pleco and the poor lady's tail is getting chewed up. Two good bites and a couple smaller ones. She's really enjoying the barnacle and fits all the way in except for her tail :( I witnessed one bite and once she was bit she swam out backwards and charged at the puffer, hit it straight on, then went back in the barnacle ;)

I'm really glad I didn't buy a new pleco, because I wouldn't have a good place to move him to. She's stuck with the puffers for a week before I can move her back.

How do you guys think ottos would fare? I've got brown algae but I won't have a backup tank for them if I get them...

PS: One of the puffers puffed yesterday. I saw her sitting on a plant, she was puffed for maybe 5 seconds and then burped the water out. It was very neat to see the water expelled, very neat.

I thought about running for one but I had no idea if it would have a lens or not and decided I'd rather watch the full thing.

The pleco has had another bite from her tail. I saw the puffer staring and started banging on the tank with my hand with a ring. Not very quiet. None of the fish even flinched... *shakes head*

Alright, the puffers are in lights out until this pleco gets moved. Such a shame, I was hoping she could live in there.

Ottos might get eaten. My F8s are fond of munching them

F8s & ottos don't belong together. One is BW & the other is FW.

True. Was just an example of a suckie and a puffie. When I first got F8s I was cleaning my DP tank and threw my otto in with the F8s while I did. Dumb! Otto was immediately munched. SAPs are friendlier though. My f8s eat everbody that lives with them. I have an otto with my DP.
