How many different puffers

Post by bastallard »

How many different kinds/species of puffers could you house in the same tank without too much trouble? With the tank being about 250 gallons.

I wouldn't combine puffer species.

I don't think you can generalize like that. Very few puffers can be housed together, and with limited success. I second PP! =D

I was thinking a dogface and a porc could live together in a 250g.

I've also seen many times that combo resulted in death.

You have to think LONGTERM success. What is wrong with one or the other?

I always think LONGTERM, I was just putting the question out there to see what people think, and I have seen on this forum where people are keeping more than one type of puffer together, I haven't placed more than one species together and wouldn't without research.

I don't condone those pufferkeeping practices. As far as I can tell, none of those combos have worked long-term.
