Fahaka growth rate

Do fahaka undergo growth spurts? Mine seems to be on a steady inch or so a month course so far. It's just about 11 inches now and I was wondering if, like many fish, the growth rate slows as they get larger or if they just keep adding size until they reach their full potential.

Mine slowed down at around 10" & has grown a little since then.

I've known them to do an inch a month full time workout. But it's not just length tho is it? they get chunkier and more muscular too.
