normal fox head. I plan on getting many more in non-viewable places. Don't plan on face tats or sleeves or anything like that :P. Depending how long my puffer is with me (hopefully around 14+ more years :P) he will get one. I also want a graveyard scene on my whole back with a wolf howling at the moon with 2 gravestones reading my parents names and dates (hopefully I wont need this one for a while). I want a very fancy hourglass with the Pink Floyd white light to Rainbow effect going through it. Would love an Avenged Sevenfold tattoo because they are awesome, possibly a RIP below it for their drummer who died in December. Uhm, thats all I can think of off the top of my head :P

NO BAND TATTOOS!!!!!!! are you sure youre really going to still like, or even remember the band when you are like 60+? i think names of boyfriends/girlfriends/wives/husbands and names of bands are the top NO NOs when it comes to tattoos, those are the ones people tend to regret most

And never, never, never tatt someone's name on yourself! I don't care how much in love you are or how long you are married to them. OK, maybe a child's name but that's it!

bad experience PP? i assume if you did, it would be long covered up by now with all that work you have lol... i totally agree... only your kids names, or possibly a family member that had a major imact on you and made you who you are, that has passed away... but i still prefer a picture instead of a name... like my humming bird and lilly tatt on my ribs, its beause of my grandma... and i plan on getting one on the other side for my other grandma... but that again, will be a picture that has significant meaning

i need some opinions...
tell me what you think. im wanting to get a tulip tree branch with 3 birds going up my ribcage... here are the pix
this is the kind of bird: http://besttattoospicture.blogspot.com/ ... tures.html
this is what a tulip tree looks like: http://z.about.com/d/forestry/1/0/E/J/japmag6.jpg
and this is somewhat how id like the branches to look: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=245hg6h&s=3
its not random (i hate random tattoos) it would be in honor of my grandma... its a childhood memory of mine, i always remember going to her house in the country and seeing her gorgeous tulip tree which was usually filled with beautiful birds... before i went in her house, id always take a minute to stop and watch all the birds and look at her beautiful tulip tree... just a fond memory of mine... it reminds me of her... she is probably one of the most influencial people in my life... id like something pretty... frogs and pigs also remind me of her... but i wouldnt get either of those, so this was the most beautiful scenery i could think of

I think that would look very nice!
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

Not at all. I would never do that! I just know how ridiculous it is to do something like that. Imagine putting even a long-time husband's name on you, he dies & then you go looking for another one. How would that guy feel seeing someone else's name on you forever. Yes, my love for him will always be there but I don't need to be stamped forever with his name. How many stupid girls put boyfriend's names on their neck???

I love that last pic! I always prefer tatts that follow the curves of a body. I believe those trees are magnolias. The bird is a robin. The ribcage is extremely painful. Take 800mg ibuprofen before you go for something like that.

magnolias are white and quite a bit bigger, and they also have lots of big, stiff leaves... the tulip tree pretty much just looks like a bunch of sticks with big purple tulips at the end... not too many leaves, though they are some

i kno all about the ribs... remember, i have the humming bird and calla lily tattoo, fell asleep at the shop while getting it ;) i really think that was one of the least painful places of all the tatts i have, other than the outline of course  oh the dreaded liner gun! that part always hurts though, you feel like your skin is being butterflied open eeeeekkkk! but i like the placement of the cherry branch too. i like ones that go with the body, my friend has a rosebud with a long stem going from the middle of her shoulders and continuing down her spine it looks SO pretty since it follows her natural curves, that was part of my inspiration for this one... i wanted to go big this time and follow the curves like hers does

i went to san francisco the other day, (which is like the most awesome place to get a tattoo) and my sister was going to pay for a $150 tattoo for me, i was going to get a dandilion, because the little seeds would be blowing away and following the curves, but then i saw this one picture in the artists portfolio, and oh man, i have to have this tattoo now, i of course changed it up to be an original. that one had cherry blossoms and crows, mine will have a tulip tree and robins... anyway, i decided not to get a free tattoo because i figured i should save the space for something worth it

Hey PufferPunk!!!!
I got bored and started sketching...I think they're amusing anyway!

The first thing I could think of under the category "punk" in fish was a porc:
Image

Then I found a cute dogface pose and punked that out a little...hehehe.
Image

I tried to keep them happier, more "Ramones" inspired I think is what you had hinted at. It's really getting me thinking about designing a tattoo for myself! :grin2:

the punky porc is cool :) though i think it needs a meaner face and possibly a more pronounced mohawk other than that, it looks awesome! the safety pin in the nose looks great!
