Is this thing good or bad?

Beautiful, complex and discussed here. The marine fish and reef section.

Is this thing good or bad?

Post by Nightfoxx220 »

I was aquascaping my tank with new rocks and found this thing. its really cool! If I look at it closely I can actually see its blood flowing through its veins up and down its body. Like little red lines traveling around. Very fascinating! Anyway is this thing good or bad? I took it out of the tank for now just incase, that way I won't have to hunt for it. Probably a bunch in the substrate.

It looks like a bristleworm. It's a myth that they're all bad...most stay quite small and are good janitors... but some can get huge and potentially cause problems...

I've got tons of them. Great detritus eaters.

If you start to get to many a sixline wrasse or any Pseudocheilinus will pick off the small ones very quickly.
