Re: Sad Day Today............
I really am sorry eieio, I've certainly had my fair share of death with my puffers, so I can sincerely relate to how you feel. It sucks when you've tried and tried to get things sorted, especially when dealing with IP's, and in the end you lose the battle. It sounds like you did all you could for your little guy, and that's what counts.

Re: Sad Day Today............
I'm so sorry! I know how you feel; I just lost Grun, one of my figure 8 puffers, from a stupid teeth trimming related thing. For what it's worth, it sounds exactly like what happened with one of my figure 8s from a long time ago. It too had IPs and just seemed thin, then listless, and then one day quit eating and died very soon after that. This was my 3rd F8 (Grun was one of the first 2 I got together), and it was not long after I got into figure 8s. Unfortunately, I didn't know about IPs until he was to the listless stage, so it was too late to really treat him. But, it sounds like you did all the right things. Sometimes it just doesn't work.
