Choosing a puffer

I am wondering about your purpose of keeping puffers. Are you looking for a tank that is ascetically pleasing or a nice wet pet that interacts with you? A singleton puffer makes a much better pet than a tank full of puffers, that interact with each other & rarely notice their owners. I have a 50g with a single (4") modestus & a 6" royal pleco. I kept trying to add more fish in there, cause it looked empty. He kept killing off every fish & even when I added another modestus, all he did was chase & bite it. Now that I have conceded to the idea of him being alone in that big tank, I see how happy he is, swimming the whole tank & greeting me every time I approach him!

well, the puff I have now has never been to interactive with me, the angels in hte other tnak are more so. and the new angels after only 2 weeks are more interactive than he has ever been. I dont mind having only one fish in a tank, I would just prefer that it was a fish bigger than one inch in a 5 gallon, which is why I asked about the slightly larger puffers, the red-eye and red-tail.
