Thursday i bought what i taught where 3 Tetraodon biocellatus but now that they have settled in, i cant stop wondering it arent Tetraodon fluviatilis.
They dont have the so called "eye"from the biocelatus but arent as dark as the fluviatilis?
Any ideas?

If it does not have the eyespots, it is not T. biocellatus.
The next most likely is, as you thought, T. fluviatilis. Especially with the "saddles". Generally they are gentle giants, but they will need lots of room.

Yes i was afraid of this. I already called the store and can return them.

Yes, those are Ceylons. Good to see they are back in the market, too bad people buy them as Figure 8 puffers and don't know what to expect

Ive returned them. The lady who was incharge of that part of the fishstore had a look and agreed it isnt the biocelatus. She had to look twice too.
She will call me when they get the real figure 8 in, and she promissed to double check before i get called.
Its a good store they quarantine and deworm all puffers before they go on sale.
The 2 male and 4 female Lorteti's i got, are from there to. No sign of internal parasites or ick.
