I don't know ... females are slightly larger and more colourful (but what is large and colourful? Water conditions apply there) ... but they change shade so it may be difficult to tell. The only way I could tell was by the egg sacs

one of my mates does CRS breeding and they are poorly coloured simply because of water quality ... he moved some to a "nastier" tank and they gained colour and size ... the breedeing pattern was not different .. just the colour and size. What was different in the tanks has yet to be found.

Whern I mention water quality .. it could be CA level , light level ... feceis level ... the normal water perams are identical

when i saw it i thought "hey, im going to do that if i ever get a puffer whose smaller than kukah" and now that i have DPs, the puffer scope sounded perfect... EDIT: hey wierd, i just went back to look at the dates it was posted... i saw that a long time ago... before jan 17.... i must have just been lookin at really old threads or something... i saw that a few months ago. hm wierd

maybe i saw it come up in a google search or something... cause these threads come up in google all the time... but i could swear it was before jan 17... google is actually how i found tpf in the first place, i googled a fahaka question and an old thread came up that was similar to the question i had. maybe im wrong... but i could swear i found it before then... oh well, doesnt really matter... its a great idea, and im glad i had the chance to steal it lol

EDIT: i dunno, maybe youre right... it just must seem like its been a really long time since im on TPF every day and i read and post so many things... it must just seem like its been a while... cause i joined just after the new year.... oh man... the days are running together
