I've lost many sea hares (mostly just disappeared) & a couple got chewed up in powerheads (hence the warning). Even been inked by a couple, picking them up. Never a nuked tank by a single one.

Really? I have a terrible calupera problem, I assume they eat that? Everything I have read about them state the nuke potential.

Not sure about calupera , they may only have the mouth for softer, hair-types. I find calupera pretty easy to pull out. With diligence, mine is almost gone.

Its been many water changes, GFO, GAC, and no fish, it looks the same pretty much, weekly I pull the calupera and still it grows like crazy. I am considering doing an acid dip to the rock (making base rock) and re-seeding with LR... Its that or herbivour/aptasia eater added.

One year with two water changes can reek hell on a tank!

2 WC in a year? I still say with diligence, you can remove all that by hand. You may have to get at it every day. Then get a seahare to remove the rest. Mine grows like a weed--can choke everything out within 2 weeks but as I look over at the tank right now, I see none & haven't removed any in about 4 days.

That was the damage photo... I have time about once a week to really do that # on the tank. When I was up on water changes, id try for once a week, in all reality it was 1.5 a week, 30g, the algae was never that bad. Then I let it go like hell... Now I dont know what to do, my phos has always read 0, I have been running about 3 cups of GFO every 3 weeks, and still this stuff grows... No fish, no food... I am thinking of adding 8 berugha nudis and one sea hare to help me out. Any suggestions, the other option is a tang and peppermint, but that seems kinda iffy if its gonna fix the problem.

Vitamin C starved my tank of nutrients to the point that my cheato completely disappeared.

I had a small aptaisia outbreak that was cured by 3 peppermint shrimp. I killed off the larger ones with Joe's Juice
