OK, where are you? Because I'm coming over with my gear!

Could I ask what you do for a living?
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

No although I do like marine fish.

I've always been fascinated by Arapaima gigas so the big tank was built for them and they are freshwater.

I do keep a few small marine tanks with a few triggers and a honeycombe eel.

[quote="kilofey"]:shock: woah.

the fish in the top right corner at 1:16, is that a 5 star general??? i couldnt tell.... anyway, he is beautiful! absolutely stunning....

No it is not a jewel cichlid.

That is a male Fossorochromis rostratus. There are 2 males in the tank both are between 9 and 10 inches. There is a female also with 5 spots but she does not have the green blue coloration and probably is about 7" tl.

I bought them at a club auction in Oct 2008 at 1" size. They have bred in the 810 so there are a few babies.

I have a few adults in the 52,000 also and a few babies in grow out 180's.

A very nice a fast cichlid.

So like, did you inherit a fortune when you were little or something??? I've just gotta know how you afford to build & maintain these tanks!

just out of curiosity ... did you do the design / plumbing on the tanks or did you have a consultant come in and you gave the general idea and they did the design?
if you follow me, you avoid stepping in the crap that I just did...

I designed them and family and friends helped to build them.

For the concrete work on the 52,000 I had a person who I sold a motorcycle to do the forming, footing and pouring since he had a crew and equipment.

cool, i bet it was fun watching it all come together (and probably a bit nerve wracking hoping it will all work out lol)

my boyfriend does concrete work... i try to help with side jobs... but its hard! i just stick to the clean up part lol, im good at that. its always nice to know someone who can do concrete... my parents sure like it, lol they got like a concrete fortress around their house now with all the side jobs theyve had my boyfriend do!
