My Puffers: 1 GSP (Microfiche) RIP, 1 Monotrete Turgidus (Leon) in a 30gal. 1 Monotrete suvattii in a 40 gal FW. 120 gallon BW with 3 juvenile Dragon Gobies (so cool). 55 gal with a 2" GSP named Hank. 180 gallon being set up for a Fahaka in the next few months!

"Darwin swings...annnnnnd a miss. Boy Jim, Chuck's suffered at the plate tonight. He's 0 for 3 and I'm not sure he's recovered from that shoulder pull a few weeks ago. I'll bet the front office is re-thinking that contract."

Wow DarkStorm! That cray was huge! I wouldnt imagine being soaked in anything other than water if I were a cray to be pleasent ...

My lobster last night tasted DELICOUS soaked in butter last night!

If I go to the fish store and get a cray, do I just throw it in the fish tank and wait for the puffer to eat it? Will the cray eat for a while if my puffer loses interest in a specific gravity of 1.018?

crays are awesome for tank they clean like no filter can, some peeps clip off the pinchers tho as they can be deadly to inhabitants.
can see them sift threw substrate eating everything .

Will they survive for a while in saltwater? or only in freshwater?

generally all freshwater but they can survive in salt water, not sure on the percentage of salt water survival, but after a day im guessing its gonna be food.
crawfish is the saltwater version of crayfish ?. i dont know my crustacians well.
tried googling it and get bout same result.

Crawfish and crayfish are the same critter, just a dialect difference. Most cray's won't survive for more than a few hours in saltwater, possibly longer in brackish.
