I took out a course black sponge+ put in the bottom basket, then sum more sponge and carbon in the middel basket, then ceramic tubes +fine wool in the top basket, that was all out the old filter. But the 4 sponges it goes through down the side r still the ones in there? I washed them+ put on some cycle stuff, but they might muck it up?
Wats in urs? Maybe swap a couple sponges? Or have u bought any other bits?
Well, test the water regularly & let me know if you need something. I wouldn't bother with the cycle liquid stuff. I could easily take out my fine wool & let you have it - its been in there about 6 weeks, so good & mature. Or half my ceramic rings. Or a bag of carbon (I probably won't be replacing that once I have used all that I had in storage - its in the foot of an old pair of tights!) Just let me know.

No, he does mean UK gallons - he bought the same style tank as me!
I agree with BFF, 66 us gallons ain't bad for 2 2" fish,
(it's alot beter then the 33 gallon tank I was lookin at!)
and when they get bigger in a couple years I can make a rasional desission on wat 2 do 4 the best.
I have lost a table+ chairs at home just 2 fit this tank in, it fills the room! (it's only a small house)
so at the minuet the puffers and I are very happy!!

Table & chairs? Sit on the floor & eat off your lap!! - whilst looking at the beautiful tank & the happy puffs & congratulating yourself on a good job well done! In this size tank they are still slightly above the minimum advised requirements, so if they are happy & healthy & the water is in tip top condition, you may not have to upgrade at all - as long as they don't fight - but you can cross that bridge if you come to it!
That's why they invented lap trays, for people 2 eat there tea when the tank fills there room!!
I agree as long as there in great condition that's all that matters, let's overcome problems if they arrise!!
My Puffers: Puffers I have kept: T lineatus T miurus A modestus T biocellatus C valentini C coranata C papuan C lorteti DPs suvattii burrfish T niphobles

You mean two fish who will be six inches! That's good space, and hopefully they don't get territorial.
I hope the table and chairs weren't too necessary lol I suppose they weren't if you've got the tank taking up the space.
