he is being kept in a 4 foot long 2 foot back 2.5 high i had made, with 2 mollies, tho recently there was 4 mollies but 2 died due to the salinity i beleive
(i was told by the aquarium dude that some mollies will do well in brackish but its pretty touch and go because alot wont)
he is fed daily on feeder yabbies and snails skipping 1 or 2 days a week and on occasion is fed christmas beetles, blood worms or squid for some variation
i use tetra marine salt, and do 50% water changes every thursday, with water changes i also add termin-ite bio booster
about 2 weeks ago the tank filled out with a brown alge on rocks and the glass, i assumed it was because the tank was getting a little bit of sun during the day
so i scrubbed it off the glass, and washed all of my rocks, and added some blue tint not thinking which was filtered out within 2 days i forgot i had recently added
activated carbon into my filter
i have 3 filters running, a 1000l per hr canisterfilter with 4 levels 1 level has a sponge another has activated carbon 2 layers have bio balls
the other 2 filters are small internal filters one has sponge and bio balls for media and the other has just a sponge
this tank has been set up for about 3 months now, i cycled it by moving all of my substrate, filters and rocks from his original tank with
a group of 4 fully grown mollies at the time (only 2 left now as stated before)
so heres the problem, about 2 months ago ziggy stopped growing i wasnt sure really untill now tho
and ontop of that this morning for christmas i woke up to ziggy with a cyst about the size of a matchhead
growing from his throat, i quickly checked all of his water parameters, all fine, parameters were as posted above
so i sit down and think about what im going to do when i notice that the matchead sized cyst is now atleast 15 times the size
it looks like he has swallowed a marble almost, i quickly grab a couple of snails to see if he'll eat and he does
infact theres nothing odd about his behaviour at all

Since this board has been up, we have found there are several questions that routinely get asked in order to help diagnose problems. If you can have that information to begin with in your post, we'll be able to help right away (if we can!) without having to wait for you to post the info we need.
1) Your water parameters - pH, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrates and salinity (if appropriate). This is by far the most important information you can provide! Do not answer this with "Fine" "Perfect" "ok", that tells us nothing. We need hard numbers.
2) Tank size and a list of ALL inhabitants. Include algae eaters, plecos, everything. We need to know what you have and how big the tank is.
3) Feeding, water change schedule and a list of all products you are using or have added to the tank (examples: Cycle, Amquel, salt, etc)
4) What changes you've made in the tank in the last week or so. Sometimes its the little things that make all the difference.
5) How long the aquarium has been set up, and how did you cycle it? If you don't know what cycling is read this: Fishless Cycling Article and familiarize yourself with all the information. Yes. All of it.
We want to help, and providing this information will go a LONG way to getting a diagnosis and hopeful cure that much faster.
While you wait for assistance:
One of the easiest and best ways to help your fish feel better is clean water! If you are already on a regular water change schedule (50% weekly is recommended) a good step to making your fish more comfortable while waiting for diagnosis/suggestions is to do a large water change immediately. Feel free to repeat daily or as often as you can, clean water is always a good thing! Use of Amquel or Prime as a dechlor may help with any ammonia or nitrite issues, and is highly recommended.
Note - if you do not normally do large water changes, doing a sudden, large water change could shock your fish by suddenly changing their established water chemistry. Clean water is still your first goal, so in this case, do several smaller (10%) water changes over the next day or two before starting any large ones.

I'm assuming Ziggy is a GSP? I don't know what your LFS means by "some" mollies don't do well in BW. All mollies are BW fish & do fine in SW. Is there any way to post a pic of his giant zit?
I don't know what those enzymes are you are adding but they aren't necessary. Please stop adding it--you're wasting your $$$ & possibly adding unnecessary waste to the tank.

Do you remember what they did about it? Try to find that thread. You might want to get his SG higher--they are really a SW fish.

yeah i will be moving him to full marine once i move to my new house it doesnt make too much sence to me that i set up a full marine tank and then have to take it down 2 weeks afterwards to move
