What are some SW tankmates for an adult GSP?

I'm been pondering getting a GSP, I understand they need full marine as they age, i'm just trying to plan for future. Demsels, triggers?,hawkfish?

I have had them with clownfish, tangs, damsels, hawkfish, small triggers, fairy wrasse, cardinals, etc.
Just no matter what watch for aggression when you introduce tank mates. In my experience, most of the Green Spots I have had are weenies.

I'm having really good luck with damsels, with both my GSP and my Ceylon. Like yunachin says above, my GSP is amazingly intimidated by the two blue damsels she shares the tank with, but my Ceylon completely ignores the blue and striped damsels in his tank. In fact, at feeding time they flock around him so they can get some of the scraps.

what types of small triggers, all i know are ones that get 10 inches. Looks like i may be investigating more salt water fish. Anyone know where i can find resources of GSP migration to saltwater. Something Like the location so i can research natural tank mates in marine?

I don't know about triggers with puffers...they don't beat up on the puffers, but at dinner time they tend to bulldoze their way in and grab all the food before anyone else can get to it, and sometimes even chase the puffer away. I once had a 1.5" picasso trigger in with a 4" GSP and the little trigger totally took over the tank.

Unfortunately we'd all like to have the information you're looking for, but very little is known about these fish in the wild.

My parents laugh about how much of a wimp my two GSPs are. They constantly tell me, "Aren't your puffers supposed to be the aggressive ones in your tank?" I tend to just smirk at this since I hear it pretty often these days.

Currently, my two GSPs are housed with tomato clownfish and some pajama cardinals. I have yet to see any signs of aggression with the exception of damsels, and the damsels were the ones that were aggressive toward my puffers My fat heads come first, though.

I'm glad that i'm not the only one thinking the same way about my stocking. I doubt i would try a trigger with the puffer. I think i may go with pufferpunk and try a file fish, a shoal of PJ cardnials, a GSP and maybe a goby. I figure it will give me the interest of the different swimming style of GSP and file and the color of the PJ's and goby. what size tank would work?

I'd go with a 55-90g. IMO, cardinals are not fast-moving & are quite shy. Mine mostly hovers in one spot near the back of the tank, because there is a lot of action going on. Maybe not the best for a GSP tank mate. Fast-moving would be more torpedo-shaped fish, like the Royal Gramma, anthius, wrasses, etc. I can't keep wrasses though--every single one has jumped out.

Yeah, I'll admit that myy pajama cardinals are a bit slow, but they're actually not bad when it comes to feeding time. They get their fair share. Sometimes, I'll add pelleted food into my tank first (New Life Spectrum) since my puffers won't eat pelleted or flake food (as expected). That way, the tomato clown and the cardinals get a good filling before I add any sort of frozen meaty food. Even when I add a frozen clam, though, all the fish swarm it regardless of the GSPs. I get a good laugh when the tomato clown dashes off with a giant piece of meat before the puffers can even tell what just happened.
