What does you puffer do during a water change?

Post by firestorm52 »

So I did my first water change since adding my GSP to my main tank and I was expecting him to go hide like the rest of my fish. But I was wrong, while siphoning the water out he was up checking out the powerhead and making sure I didn't drop the hose and get fish water all over my room. then when I was adding water he was playing in the current from the hose that i was pumping the water into the tank with. It was really cute :D

That's cute! :)

Mine just sort of swim around and dodge the moving decorations.
"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

My modestus comes out to see what all the fuss is, and to peck at my hand. My valentini, Ceylon, and GSP all get as far away from the action as they can.

Most of mine stay well away when I'm siphoning water from the tank, but when I'm adding the water back in, they do seem to like playing in the current. However, when I do my vacuuming, the vacuum gets alot of bites (better the vacuum than my hand!). :D

my saps are really funny when im siphoning the water out...its like theyre daring each other 2 come near it lol. ya can see theyre scared of it, but theyll keep swiming up, having a little look, then zooming away, then when they get back 2 where the rest of the 'gang' is, another 1 will come n do the same lool. the dps just sit in 1 corner of there tank staring at me when i do there tank

one of mine is a nippy guy and likes to bite my elbow, but most of them just play in the current.

My F8s usually just try to stay away from the commotion, but if I'm also redecorating/rearranging, they will sometimes get surprised and jump a little bit. Otherwise, they just hide.

Bug gets scared and hides. Peaches will just kinda back off a little and stare at it.

My Turgdis tries to use me for a meal. Hides in the cave and comes flying across the tank to hit my hand.....My GSP looks at me like I'm the strangest thing he's ever seen in his world (from behind the filter intake)...and my Suvatti looks at me with pure disdain and a look of "come on, I dare ya'"....
