Welcome to the Forum!!
With a 72 Gallon and freshwater I think a nice school of South American Puffers would be nice. The do require heavy dentistry though. I.e. you will have to trim their teeth on occasion.

I'm learning that puffer fish are like pringles. There is no such thing as only wanting one.
Tanks:
38 gallon: 1 Figure 8 puffer, 1 Dragon Goby, 1 Knight Goby, 3 Black Mollies
30 gallon: 1 Blue Acara, 1 Bristlenose Pleco
120 gallon: Ratchet the Fahaka Puffer

Look over our Pufferpedia & Library for ideas & info on care of different species. Both are found under the Learn tab, above.

Re: dont know what kind of puffer to get
One problem you're going to come against is that if you want an aggressive puffer, you won't be able to have 2 in your tank because they will kill one another.
I would take PufferPunk's suggestion and look at all the different posibilities available in the PufferPedia and see which puffers you are interested in, and go from there. Each puffer biopic tells what size tank they need too.

Hey schismy007
This is way off topic, but in your signature the fish on the left side is that a mud skipper?
My bf and I were watching a documentary on discovery channel about fishies last night, and one of them was in it. lol
