My ammonia is between 1.0 and 2.0

Yep, definitely more water changes. Believe me when I say that I understand the frustration.

Nitrate is between 0 and 20, Nitrite @ 0.5 to 1.0,ph 250, Alkalinity 240 to 300,Ph 8.0 to 8.4, total hardness is about 250.. Gosh I hope I am almost done doin water changes lol. But Ill keep doin em for my little puffers.
Oh I went back to wal mart yesterday in HUtchinson Kansas. And I got so damned mad, they had about 20 GSP's in the same tank. Some of em were brown and their little bellies were all sunken in. I couldnt believe it when I seen some of their skin lookin like it was actually coming off of their bodies. I wish there was something I could do to help the little guys.
Oh I went back to wal mart yesterday in HUtchinson Kansas. And I got so damned mad, they had about 20 GSP's in the same tank. Some of em were brown and their little bellies were all sunken in. I went to walmart two days ago. Exact same thing. 20 gsps in some crappy 5gal tank with a shared filter. A single powerhead pushed floaters around while some stuck to filter intake and other lay on the ground, gasping for air.
