There should be SOME nitrates. When and how was it cycled? What is she feeding it now? A porc needs a tank of 120 gallons.

I think its more important to give them good water parameters, in terms of health and growth, than food. Food is important, of course, but stopping stunting will help them grow. That means a tank that is big enough and water changes and a cycled tank.

I agree, the larger the tank, the faster the fish will grow. Also a healthy diet of crustaceans (see feeding articles in the library) soaked in Selcon & marine fish vitamins are always best.

To breed brine shrimp, you should get or make a hatchery.

Ghost shrimp don't usually survive in salt, but I did hear about one the other day that's been in a SW tank for a bit when it wasn't eaten.

Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

I always just put some hatch mix and an airstone in water and waited a day or two.
