Bad idea, IMO, both ate extremely aggressive (& expensive_ species. Waste of space in such a large tank too, since they really only need ~30g & stay buried most of the day.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Hi, we have an Abei and I wouldn't put anything else in the tank with it that I didn't want it to eat. George is rather aggressive and will attack the siphon, my hand, anything new put in his tank (plants have bite marks on the leaves!).

I have and Abei and he is VERY mean! He has bit me twice and tried to eat a snail almost as big as him. Anything you put in the tank will be thought of as food, hands included. Good luck on the puffer hunt.

Hi, I have both an Abei and a Hairy puffer. I would not suggest keeping either fish with any other living thing, be it puffer, fish or crab. You might get away with some snails, but the Abei would probably eat those too.
**if it's any help to you, I currently keep a suvattii and a Palembang (Humpback puffer) together, but I would only try this if both are young puffers**
