What they do to entertain themselves!

Post by mrgreen »

He's been exploring a lot more since 9Ball died. 9Ball used to swim into the current and have fun playing. Now, 8ball is doing these things, including the bubbles, and last night, I woke up around 3 and looked at the tank and saw him brush against something very quickly and go into a spiral- like a football! I thought he was sick, but nope- he was just fine!

I know! It was fun! I only happened to wake up and look and have my small light on- nevermind have a camera out. But he really did do it just like that- just like someone had thrown him as a tiny football into a perfect spiral!

Blinky, one of my F8's does it a lot, and it usually involves a nose dive towards the sand. I almost had a heart attack the first time I saw it happen. It only happens at night, so I figure sleep-swimming.

I'm so glad I read this post. Blinky only has one eye and I've always wondered if that's what causes the spiral swimming at night. I feel better now knowing that other puffers do it too. Thanks!
