I've heard, never reliably though, that others will release in times of stress, mainly in the self preservation mode. I admit I don't know ad much about them as I would like but, I do know they are not an easy fish to care for and do not make great fish for first time marine. The info is appreciated, I'm now on a quest to find more about Ostraciids. If carbon is cycled through the tank and large water changes are made than you can reduce the death of tank mates and corals. Ostraciids are not necessarily a "advanced" aquarist fish but more of a fish that the person needs to know what the fish can do.

"Darwin swings...annnnnnd a miss. Boy Jim, Chuck's suffered at the plate tonight. He's 0 for 3 and I'm not sure he's recovered from that shoulder pull a few weeks ago. I'll bet the front office is re-thinking that contract."
